The award-winning Lied Discovery Children’s Museum in Las Vegas is an interactive, hands-on experience that will thrill children of all ages. The museum covers 22,000 square feet and features both temporary and permanent exhibits that explore the arts, music, nature and humanities. The playful and engaging learning environment puts an emphasis on surprise, creative expression and discovery, and encourages interaction between children and adults. It’s a popular destination for families and school field trips.
The Lied Discovery Children’s Museum is home to a traveling exhibition gallery, an eight-story science tower and an early childhood pavilion. Visitors wandering the first floor will find exhibits that encourage imagination and dramatic play, cooperative activities and group problem-solving. This entire floor was designed for young children ready to explore their surroundings, and reading skills are not a requirement. From bubble-making to dress up to computer art, young children will find no end of stimulating and engaging exhibits.
Older children will find the second floor exhibits perfectly age-appropriate. With an emphasis on science, communication and technology, displays on the second floor encourage exploration, observation and critical thinking, ideal skills for the elementary-aged child to practice. Children can play a laser harp, be a radio DJ, observe science experiments, enter into a hurricane and more. For young and old alike, a day at the Lied Discovery Children’s Museum is an incredible experience.
