The Comstock History Center houses the recently relocated Virginia & Truckee Railroad engine #18, the
Dayton. It is also home to the Comstock Historic District Commission and its non-circulating reference library. The building includes meeting space, room for archaeological analysis and curation of Comstock resources.
The Comstock History Center enriches the experience of the millions of tourists who make their way to the Comstock. The building itself is a testament to the history of Virginia City and takes its design from railroad and mining structures that once stood nearby.
